Congratulations to 9-year-old Grace who’s just had her first book published. You can read all about it in much more detail and with more pictures here on the Make a Wish website.
But I thought Grace and her friends might like to be stars of the Girls Heart Book website too.
Make a Wish tries to grant wishes of children who’ve been having a tough time and Grace had been very ill. She told the Make a Wish volunteers how she wanted to be an author and had lots of ideas and had even written a story that she was very proud of called Little Tiger Gets Lost.
The lovely people at Puffin said they could help turn Grace’s story into a book and even gave Grace a tour of what it’s like inside a publishing house.
‘Little Tiger Gets Lost’ looks like a brilliant book and I love the pop-up pictures that Grace drew as well. I bet the book launch party was amazing and that cake looks scummy!
